Yay! Arrivals in Cambodia! This is a post for the people who donated uniforms and laptops and stationary for the children here is a picture of what was sent. We can't get laptop photos yet because the children are on the summer holidays and they were sent separately due to batteries and consequently arrived later, and needed to be tested! 11 Aug

Machu Picchu This is a picture my dad took, from the heights of Machu Picchu! Did you know that: Incas are not Incas at all, in fact there is no such thing as Incas. This is because the Spanish conquered a lot of Central and South America, including Machu Picchu. The Spanish could not pronounce Enca which meant the King of the 'Incas' The civilisation was called quecha which was the language spoken in all of Peru and some countries around it like Bolivia and Ecuador. Seeing the breathtaking views was 02 Aug

Tortillas Lesson Dos! This is another picture of the lesson, but here I am patting the wet tortilla down flat ready for the frying pan. The non-sweet ones are brilliant within a little sugar and the sweet ones nice,with... sheep cheese! This is a common Costa Rican coffee break! Tortillas (sweet or non-sweet) with sheep cheese and coffee! I have to admit (besides the coffee) it's amazing! 27 Jul

Tortillas! Lesson Unos! This is one of the pictures of me and, my family and, our host family making tortillas! We found out how they are literally made by wet maize powder patted down and then fried over a fire! The sweet ones (I don't like these as much) are sweetcorn milled the sweetcorn in an old-fashioned machine which was powered by our muscles because we turned a lever at the bottom. 27 Jul

Eggs! This is a picture of a turtle laying some eggs! As part of our project we do night patrols, and we count the eggs as the turtle lays them, it is actually quite stressful, but worth it! I did two, and one layed 80 eggs and the other layer 105 eggs!! Both were Olive Ridleys! 23 Jul
